HELLO, I'M LEAH
Tea Drinker, Candle Lover, Dog Mumma.
Age: 32.
Home: Whitstable. (but I grew up in Ham then moved to Sandwich, you've seen the sign right?!)
Fun Fact: I once lent a Spice Girl my lipstick.
Life Mantra: What would Cher do.
It all began with a Christmas Tree and bag of Lemons...
1999: I was the only child my mum trusted to decorate the Christmas tree or lay the table when her friends came for dinner. What began with just a humble, neatly placed knife and fork soon escalated into elaborate centrepieces, made from anything pretty I could get my hands on…Mums best garden shrubs, perfume bottles, seashells or the 9 lemons she was using to make dessert which I'd now wedged into a vase.
2010: I went to Uni to study Special FX Makeup + Hair for TV and Film. I can honestly say you name it, I’ve stuck it to someones face. There was a bridge being built next to my Uni halls and often the builders would see me multiple times a day covered in glitter, feathers and bullet holes. I think they thought I was having some kind of avant garde breakdown.
2013: After achieving my degree in painting people faces; my love of being creative, makeup and photography led me to become a Social Media Content Creator. For 6 years I travelled the world working with global beauty brands, wedding dress designers and luxury travel companies. Creating content, working with bloggers, styling photoshoots and planning PR and launch events.
2019: The sparkle of the London hustle and catching 6 trains a day was beginning to fizzle out. So my fiancé and I decided to pack up my 27,000 candles, telescope and favourite mug to head back to the seaside. I wanted a change so thought about the things which made me happiest…
My mum is wonderful in every way, apart from when it comes to the internet. We’d have multiple FaceTime calls a week where I'd be greeted by the image of the inside of her ear saying : “What do you think of these wedding favours? I love them but they’re from America and the shipping will cost more than my flowers”. To which I would always reply “I CAN MAKE YOU THOSE AND PLEASE SHOW ME YOUR FACE!”.
Designing every detail from invitations and favours to hand painted calligraphy signs and floral centrepieces; without realising at the time this was the most rewarding job I’ve ever had. Making someone's special day as beautiful as they are. So with a love for antiques, up-cycling and all things unusual I decided to start my own wild and wonderful prop hire company.
I'm a firm believer in the power of the universe and never did I think when dressing my little kitchen table to create a homepage image for my new website; that this would then lead to a professional bridal photoshoot, which then was featured by The Independent! The last few years have been a whirlwind but I believe each job I've had along the way from stealing my Mum's lemons, painting peoples faces and running fabulous instagram accounts have led me to here. It's the attention to detail and creating the wow factor that I love!
I’m adding new items all the time (as I'm a magpie with no self control) and if there's anything you'd like specially made or sourced, I love a challenge!
Feel free to drop me a message and I can bring your vision to life.
Love you, bye x

- Throwing parties for friends, around a beautifully decorated dinner table.
- Wrapping gifts for loved ones with paper, dried flowers and ribbons I’d saved in a drawer for the last 100 years; because I knew one day they’d be exactly what I was looking for.
- This one makes my heart hurt in a good way. Helping my mum plan and style her wedding day.
