Hello, I'm Leah

I'm 33 and a November baby, forever in my Autumn era!

I live in the beautiful seaside town of Whitstable, living my best mermaid life. I grew up in a tiny village called Ham then moved down the road to Sandwich.

I'm not a regular Mum, I'm a Dog Mum, to a super cute little mini Jackshund (dachshund x jack russell) called Honey.

Boho & Bloom began 5 years ago from my spare room and I still pinch myself that it's now grown to an Aladdins cave warehouse full of giant disco balls and treasures.

I once lent a Spice Girl my lipstick.

I'm a firm believer that a cup of tea or Cher song on full volume can solve most problems.

On my first date with my partner I got horrendously lost driving through London and the irony was I was actually supposed to be in Essex! 2 hours late and surrounded by honking taxis, I called my Mum nearly in tears saying "I'm so lost, I'm just turn around and come home" and she said "keeping going...you never know you might end up marrying him and you'll laugh about this one day"...We've now been together for 10 years and next year we get married. Mum knows best!

It all began with a Christmas tree and a bag of lemons...

I was the only child my Mum trusted to decorate the Christmas tree or lay the table when her friends came for dinner. What began with just a humble neatly placed knife and fork soon escalated into elaborate centrepieces, made from anything pretty I could get my hands on… Mum’s best garden plants, perfume bottles, seashells or the 9 lemons she was using to make dessert which I'd now wedged into a vase to achieve my contemporary citrus vision.

Little did I know that one day this love of styling would lead to working with clients such as Selfridges, ITV, Zoella and Leigh-Anne Pinnock.

In 2010 I went to Uni to study Special FX Makeup + Hair for TV and Film. I can honestly say you name it, I’ve stuck it to someones face. There was a bridge being built next to my Uni halls and often the builders would see me multiple times a day covered in glitter, feathers and bullet holes. I think they thought I was having some kind of avant garde breakdown.

My love of being creative, makeup and photography led me to become a Social Media Content Creator. For 6 years I travelled the world working with global beauty brands, wedding dress designers and luxury travel companies. Creating content, working with bloggers, styling photoshoots and planning PR and launch events.

My Mum got married 5 years ago and I completely fell in love with helping her plan and style her wedding. Designing every detail from invitations and favours to hand painted calligraphy signs and floral centrepieces. I suddenly realised this was the most rewarding job I’ve ever had. Making someone's special day as beautiful as they are. So with a love for up-cycling, antiques and all things unusual I decided to start my own wild and wonderful prop hire company.

The last 5 years have been a creative whirlwind but I believe each job I've had along the way from stealing my Mum's lemons, painting peoples faces and running fabulous instagram accounts have led me to here. It's the attention to detail, thoughtful touches and creating wow factor that I love!
